Ever since my dad was 14 years old he’s been collecting records. After high school he proceeded to go to college and then dropped out in the middle of his sophomore year because his rap group got signed to Mad Sounds record label. In 1993 his group released their first album, Trendz. Once the group went their separate ways in 2000 due to them all starting families, my father decided to continue his collection of over 14,000 recorded and display them in his studio. One of his oldest records is from Okeh Lateral Cut Records. This record has William Robyn, Shannon Four, and many more. In order to be one of the best Djs in New York at the time you had to have all the hottest records on dec and because they did not have the high tech that we do today, they had to carry around all of their records with their turntables. My father originally went into the entertainment business because he loves giving people a night to remember. My father is the type of man that always looks at the bright side of everything, he’s never yelled at me and has never said no, give or take a few times. Now you might be wondering, has my father’s musical background affected mine, and the answer is yes, indeed it has. I've been singing for as long as I can remember. I also highly enjoy breaking songs and beats apart and creating my own sound to it.
