Coba
A couple of years ago, my family and I went to Mexico for spring break. For the first couple of days, we relaxed in the resort, but then we decided that we wanted to go to one of the (city) temples and possibly climb it. Because the hotel was by the ocean, the heat was bearable, but as soon as we went into the city, the torrid heat of Mexico struck us and it felt like we were melting. We ended up biking to the temple, which was not that bad because the path was shaded for most of the time. We were already tired from the bike ride when we got to the temple, but now we had to scale it up and down which seemed impossible at the time. Surprisingly, going up the temple was not that difficult and once we got to the top we had an amazing view of everything around us. After enjoying the view for some time, we had to back down which was a little scary because one wrong move and we could end up sliding down the steps of the temple which would not feel good. We went down slowly and when we finally made it down, it felt like an accomplishment to all of us, since we just climbed up one of Mexico’s tallest temples.
