This shoe belongs to my father who had immigrated here in 1990 from Pakistan. He had brought these shoes with him because they were his only pair of shoes. My father and his family had come to America so that life would be easier for them instead of being in a developing and highly inflated (economically standing) country where it was hard to find work. He got me a similar pair of shoes ever since I was ten so that I could wear them on special occasions and I still have every pair.
