My mother’s favorite food is a cake my grandma used to make, made of regular cake batter then dipped into a3 milk mixture to get it wet., After that then it'sits cut in half and my mom’s favorite cookies are put in the middle., then Lastly, frosting and other stuff is put on it and then it is frozen they freeze it  and ready to eat. She was from Guadalajara Mexico, a curious and smart girl who left her hometown for a small place named Napa, then pursued a career as a teacher as she liked children. Perhaps the cake reminded my mother of the life she left behind. She named me David after the David vs Goliath story she liked as a kid. When i was a kid in Napa i thought of my mom's beloved cakes recipes, because she had adapted her mom's recipe to our liking and our favorite foods.
