My object is a Polish doll. It’s from Poland. It is used for playing, but also to decorate the home with costumes. My mom used to play with it when she was little. 
Our traditional folk dolls are made in Krakow, Poland, completely by hand. The dolls are made using skills that have not changed in generations. They are made primarily of paper mache and cloth. The facial features are hand painted by local artists.  My mom got it from her mom in Poland.  It is important to me and my family because in the old times they used to look like this: braids, dress, small bows and some fancy shoes. They dance in those costume and they dressed on special days.Today some part of Poland tried to wear those costume/dress for special days and celebration.
It is important to me because I can study the cloth that they used to wear. I can see how the Polish doll looks like in the past, also I can play with it, and pretend I’m in Poland.
