My object is a pinata. A pinata is a box/shape  made out of cardboard with colorful tissue paper hanging on the sides. Pinatas come in many different shapes, sizes and colors.  Pinatas are originally from the Aztecs or arrived in Mexico with the Spanish conquistadors.      Pinatas are used when it's Christmas or at a birthday party but it's originally for Christmas. The pinata itself represents evil. The treats inside represent good spirits. The whole thing together is that the good spirits are trapped by the bad ones and the bat is defeating the bad spirits so the good spirits are free, basically defeating the evil. I chose this object because it teaches me a lot about my culture and it's traditional to me and my family. We have pinatas on Christmas and at birthday parties.         One question I have is , who is the person who thought/made the pinata? I think the pinata is really fun and colorful .
