This image displays my grandmother’s Korean traditional pillow filled with buckwheat chaff. Unlike pillows today, buckwheat chaff is a very rough and firm material which makes the pillow, overall very stiff. Although, Koreans (a long time ago) used these to relieve any stress and soreness on their bodies as they went to sleep.
