I chose pierogies for my traditional food because we eat it on Christmas with our family and it is a remembrance of where we are from and it is also remembrance of my grandma. The word Pierogie is It means it is a dumpling and it also means feast. Ever since I was young, we have always had them for our Christmas meal. It is a tradition in our family and when I think of Christmas it is one of the first thing that pops up in my head. Even though it is just a dumpling with potato inside it is tasty and filling. The main reason we have them is to bring our family together and remember my grandma.
