This is a picture of my grandma and her brother when she moved to New York. My grandma was 25 years old when she moved to New York and at the time she had 3 little kids one of them was a baby. New York gave her more opportunities to take her care of  3 children. When she moved here she saw everything differently than what she is used to seeing on the island and didn’t really know the language. It also gave my grandpa more job opportunities than on the island so that they can get their own place and support their children. Because of them coming to New York in 1967 they are the reason i am here today.
