Picture of grandma's house

I have this photo in a frame in my house of my grandmother’s house in Puerto Rico. This is an important picture to me because it reminds me of when she lived in Puerto Rico and the sacrifices she made for her family. When my grandmother first lived in Puerto Rico and had her kids, she decided to move to New York so that they can have a better future. She wanted them to finish school and find jobs. She left everything in Puerto Rico for their future.

However, she did not want to live in New York forever because work left her little time for family. She missed Puerto Rico while she was here because life was easier over there. Her dream was to live in Puerto Rico in her own house with animals. When her children grew up, she had that opportunity. She went back to Puerto Rico and built her own house with the help of my grandfather. When I look back at this photo, I will see everything she sacrificed to get there. My grandmother did a lot for her family and still finished her goals. Even though my grandmother is no longer with us, it makes me happy knowing that she did what she wanted.

When I go back to Puerto Rico, I will see her house and remember everything. I will keep this photo in my house for this important memory.
