My object is my bedspread.  It was made in the Dominican Republic.  It is made of thread, and it can be of any color.  It is used for putting on the bed. My grandmother made it in 1930.  It’s very important for my family, because it was passed down from generation to generation.  The history behind it is that my mom’s grandma gave the handmade bed spread to her for her wedding.  Afterwards, my mother gave it to me when I got married. I use it on my special events, such as a birthday, but my mother used it when she had her 40th wedding anniversary.
