Photo Of My Grandparents Camp
My object is a photo of my grandparent’s camp in a town called Levine in the Czech Republic, which in case you do not know is in Europe. My grandparents use the camp as a children's sleepaway camp because it's filled with a bunch of these tiny little cabins to sleep in. They also have a little shack, which they use to serve the kids food from the “inside.” Fun fact, my mom and her siblings used to help cook the food for the camp. Now my younger cousins do because they also live in the Czech Republic. Actually my whole mom’s side of the family lives in the Czech Republic. The camp is one of those very simple country camps, from one view you can see a little tower/castle from afar it is on one of the many hills there. All the cabins are made of wood and so is the little shack for food. Just in case, if you are wondering, no I have not gone to camp there. Yes, I have seen it and been inside, but I have not slept there but I will soon.
I chose for my object to be my photo of my grandparents' camp because I think it shows a lot about my mom's side of the family's history. It's important to me because it's a big part of my life and the camp has been passed down for a while in my family. I know that my grandparents have had it for a long time for at least ten years because when I was born they already had the camp. One other reason it's important to me is because it is important to my family. The photo teaches me that the little things in life can be very valuable. It may be only worth some money, but it is priceless to my family and me.
