I’m a third generation American.  We moved from ocean and woods to ocean and woods, sticking together and finding comfort in the familiar.  We hike.  We fish.  We eat.  My family cherishes nature and nurtures tradition.  Family has always been our most valuable treasure.    The women in my family are strong, determined, and nurturing.  This image is of my mother in the 50’s.  When I look at this picture, I see love.  I see my mother’s personality coming through from her very beginnings, influenced by my grandmother and great grandmother.  I see all of the strong women from my past, and I see the future in my daughter.  
I see the rise of strong women.
