Enomoto family in Fenimore Hotel, 1960s

Born in Los Angeles in 1915, my grandpa Edward eventually returned to Hiroshima where he worked as a dentist. He married my grandma Toshiko and together they had four children: Kumiko, Miyoko, Yoshio (my dad), and Kayoko. With hopes of a better life for his family, my grandpa brought them, along with my great-grandma Tsuki to Seattle in December 1960. Unable to practice dentistry in the states, my grandpa took on various odd jobs to support his family, one of them being the manager of the Fenimore Hotel in First Hill (1964-1970).
