My great-grandmother came to the United States in early-1980 and settled in New York. With chain migration, cousins and relatives joined her journey, hoping for the American Dream. My parents were the last one to come and instead of settling in New York, Queens, my parents decided to settle in N.J. We are wearing Korean Tradition dress, celebrating Lunar Year. My parents' generation tend to find a husband/wife within their race; however, now we have few interracial marriages.
