old books
When I was younger, my mom used to read me these children's chapter books. My great-grandmother originally bought them when she met my great-grandfather, who migrated to the U.S. from Lebanon, and when she had my grandmother, she read them to her when she was younger, and then they were given to my grandmother. She read them to my mom, and then my mom read them to me. Now I have them, and they are in really good condition. My favorite one that I have is Black Beauty. I really liked horses when I was little, and I like to think that my mom's connection to them is what drove me to really like the book. I also look at them and wonder why my great-great-grandmother bought so many and what they meant to her. I hope that nothing happens to them, and if anything does, I at least have one to give to my future kids and for them to give it to my grandkids and for it to keep moving down.
