Dia De Los Muertos

Our family ofrenda is a traditional altar built for Dia De Los Muertos to honor and welcome the spirits of deceased loved ones. This is very special to me because that's when my uncle comes to visit us and I get to sit and talk to him, and he is a very happy, kind, caring person. He's someone that doesn't do bad things in life. Everyone always treated him badly, just because of the kind of person he was, but he would never do such a thing to make people feel bad about themselves. He would always care about others, and he was a father figure to my siblings and me because he didn’t have kids of his own. On Nov 3, 2023, was when I got a bracelet gifted to me for the Quincenera I never got the chance to have. So that means so much to me because that’s a bracelet that would remind me of my uncle only because he was very excited to be at my party, the one I never got because of his passing, but I don't blame him. I know that he would be happy that Christmas is coming up because he would wear his little Christmas hat and take pictures with the family with it. He would stand in the snow and watch it fall on him with laughter. He was very special to my family.
