This nut grinder is important to my family because it is from my great grandmother. She was a very popular person in my family, and is still often talked about today. Her most popular attribute was her baking. She baked all the time, and it was always delicious. Her recipes are still used when we have family and friends visiting, and sometimes just as a nice surprise. The nut grinder was a part of many of her recipes, and somehow whenever someone thought of her baking they always remembered the nut grinder.  It has also taught me that even though some family traditions may seem trivial, this one definitely isn't.
