Nino Dios
My object is Nino Dios. The reason he is important to me is because he died for our sins. The Nino Dios statue was blessed by Jesus at a church. Myself and family pray for Jesus and Mary to protect us from evil. I chose this because without him we would not have this freedom we have today. Jesus made me learn to always be kind no matter what and be grateful for everything. The evil eye is a part of Mexican and Hispanics culture. The evil eye is used for mostly babies. They get put around the wrist or ankle. It's a sign to protect the babies only a few days old to a few months old. The colors have a meaning to it. Red means protecting and strength. Blue means karma will come back to the person. Pink means you will find true love. Green means wealth and healthy. Black means power. Yellow means good luck and mental health. On January 6th we cut bread. We call it rosca. If you find a baby Jesus in the rosca that means you have to cook something in your culture.
