I chose a necklace with my initial. This necklace is important to me because my abuelito gave it to me when I went to Mexico for the first time. This was my first time meeting them and actually interacting with my abuelitos, I am their second grand - child but their first grand - daughter. I received this in March of 2023, I wear it everyday along with my virgencita necklace. The necklace is connected to my family because it was my mom’s dad who gifted it to me, unfortunately my abuelitos are still in Mexico but my mom immigrated to the US.
