This necklace was given to my father by my grandmother, when he decided to leave home for the U.S. This necklace is very important to my father because it shows and reminds him from where he originated. This necklace is one that takes my father back to the past. It’s been around longer then the both of us. It has witnessed not only my dad’s journey from Mexico to Minneapolis, but the hardships both him and  his mother experienced. The necklace is a keeper of all the memories they have had, and it fits right in the palm of your hand.
