In our family, we mostly follow what our grandmother does and what she believes in, even though most of the things are a bit weird. Elephants are her favorite animals and she admires them. Having a statue of an elephant is something she loves dearly. She tends to be very picky about the elephant’s pose. She always wants the trunk to be pointing up and the tail towards the right. She’ll always place the elephants pointing towards the entrance of the home - front or back of the elephant doesn’t really matter to her. It has become a tradition for grandma to put a dollar bill on the trunk of the elephant. Doing so meant good luck to her and to the family and the saying that money will come to you.
