My story
These pupusas represent the hard work my mother and her family did to be able to afford a ticket to the Americas. My mom made pupusas for a living with her mother and other family members. My mother would make pupusas for my family and I when I was a little boy. If I had to describe the taste of pupusas they are delicious and very warm, pupusas are a type of meat called chicharron and is wrapped in a type of dough called masa. Whenever I was sad, or it was my birthday I would ask my mom to make me some pupusas and that would make me feel so much better. Pupusas are a really big thing in my family all my aunts and other family members would make them, and they all tasted the exact same. They had the delicious taste of marinated meat and the soft texture of a fluffy dough. Overall pupas are a big part of my family and how my family came to this world.
