My Old Stool
My object is a small stool and it's from Kosovo. They started being made in the 1800’s. It is used to sit on. I use it often because it is special to me. The stool was made from oak trees and it was made into a triangular piece of wood that was flattened and smoothed to sit on comfortably. Then three holes were made and three sticks were shoved in. The reason they were made is because back then people were poor. The stools helped them because they provided somewhere to sit when they ate, took showers, prepared for their religious rituals, and anybody can use them! I chose this stool because it's special and original and it teaches me that my ancestors made it a long time ago. It is connected to my great great grandfather and then it was passed down to my grandmother then it was passed down to my mother and now it belongs to me! I love my stool. It's really special to me and I'll do anything to keep it safe. And I love my g.g grandfather! (By the way, my great great grandfather lived to be 107 years old!) I also never knew my parents would give it to me! Both of my parents immigrated to the USA in 1999. I will never not love my stool and- dang! I gotta go. I need to fix the stool again!
