My mom's passport
My mom migrated from Mexico with her sister over 2 decades ago with just a book bag and inside that book bag she had just the essentials which included water and her Mexico passport. Once she got to the United States she had to start over and get everything new since she had left everything back in Mexico. She had to adjust to the new environment she wasn't used to, she had to find her way around the neighborhood and learn a new language. Over the years of adjusting and working and trying to have a better life than what she had in Mexico she always kept her Mexico passport as a symbol of her roots and hope that fueled her new beginning in America.
