The brick house my great-grandpa built.

As far as I know, my family has been in America since colonial times. However, there hasn’t been a really important object that affects our cultural identity like other families. But, in recent times there has been a relatively big object passed down through three generations. That object is my current house. This house is important to my family because it was built by my great-grandpa, without the help of contractors, mostly. This house holds many memories for my grandpa, who lived his life in this house. For me and my brothers, the house represented a getaway from the lives we lived four hours away.
