A paragraph that tells of our legend

As a kid, I heard stories from my grandfather, talking about Pocahontos being related to us. I never really thought about it much at that time. I decided now that I am older, I would delve into it. I found a small passage in the book talking about how Pocahontas loved John Smith and got pregnant. John did not want to marry Pocahontas and convinced a man by the name of Adolf to marry her instead. Soon after the child was born, Adolf ran off. Pocahontas then changed her kids' names to Randadolf. Later she dropped the a and it turned to “Rand-off” Although we are unsure of what happened to Randolf, our ancestors believe this is how we got the Randolf name. Our story might be only a legend, but it is not the only proof.
