My great-grandfather came to Ellis Island from Jakubany, Slovakia in 1892 with this trunk. The reason why I found your site is because his brother, Mike Condly (Kundla), followed his brother to PA but then moved to 54 1St Avenue NYC, NY to be a porter. I don't think the coal mines agreed with him. He lived in a tenement house near the museum.
