My Dad's Watch
My Dad’s WatchBy:Archer Hughes
The object I chose is an accurist watch from England that’s my dad’s, but it used to be my great granddad's. His name was Albert Frederick Shuttle worth. My dad inherited the watch when Albert died a few years ago. It looks like gold but it might be fake gold and the strap is stretchy and elastic. My great grandfather got it from a jewelry store that his dad and uncle owned. He got it when his father sold the shop as a gift in 1975, the same year my dad was born. This object is very important to me and my dad because it’s basically a family heirloom that i’ll get when my dad passes away. My dad came from England to the U.S but the rest of his family stayed in England. A question I have for Albert is why did you choose this watch and not a silver one or one with a leather strap or even one with a square face? Thanks for reading this
