My Church
Something dear to me is My Church, St Phillips Baptist Church. Before Talking about the church, I need to talk about my Grandma, Elva. (Or Oma) She is a big role model for me besides (my Parents obviously) She didn’t have the best childhood. But in her time She went from Aruba, The Netherlands in Europe and then here in America, Staten Island. She was a good woman and then sometime, She eventually went to St. Phillips Baptist Church, She met a lot of good people there including The Pastor and his Family. The Church itself from My experience has the nicest people, they do Sunday School & Even Make Breakfast before The Service. The Service is different each time like any other Church but when you’re there, It doesn't feel like Christianity. Well we still do the same thing every Christian church does but it just feels like we’re doing our own thing. It makes me proud to be an American and Black Man solely based on that. Thank you for listening to my story.
