My Meaningful Object: My Baby Album


One meaningful object in my life is my baby album. It is an album filled with pictures and memories from when I was younger. My family kept these pictures so we could remember special moments from my childhood.


The story behind my baby album is about how I grew up over the years. When I look through it I get to see pictures of myself as a baby. I can also see moments that I do not remember on my own. I have many moments with my family in the pictures. A moment I remember is my mom coming to my pre-k to pick me up and I saw her sitting on the edge of my bed.Then she took me out to ihop and we had a girls day and it was so fun ! She took me home and we went to my room to watch a movie and we fell asleep.


My baby album matters to me because it reminds me of where I came from.I was born in new york but my mom is from  the DR and Ghana. My mom came here when she was 13-16 years old. My dad is also from Ghana, he was born there and came when he was in his teens. It also shows me how much I have grown. I cannot remember everything from when I was little. The pictures help me see those memories and learn more about my childhood.


The album holds memories that we can look back on together. It reminds me that my family has been there for me since I was little. My baby album is more than just a photo album. It holds memories of my childhood and my family. It also shows how much I have grown and changed.
