Music
The thing I choose that reflects my identity and family history is music. I chose music because it's something that African Americans discovered long ago and have improved it and made it into something that many people all over the world love. It's important to me and my family because it's something we all like to do, listen to it, we all could get together and music will play everyone will vibe, connect, dance, sing it to each other, etc. Music is something that I was introduced to at a young age and have danced to it my entire life and still. I have listened to many genres, gospel, jazz, R&B, soul music, rap, etc. The list goes on and on, I just love the improvement and differences as time goes on. I could dance freely to any song because there's no certain way you're supposed to feel while listening to it.
