Music is an important part of my life and my family’s traditions. It has always been something that brings emotions, memories, and people together. Ever since I was young, music has played a big role in my home. On weekend mornings, my mother would play certain songs while we cleaned the house. Hearing those songs became a signal that it was time to get up, help clean, and spend time together as a family.Even now, those same songs still remind me of my childhood and make me feel nostalgic. Whenever I listen to them, they instantly put me in a cleaning mood and bring back memories of my family laughing, singing along, and working together. Music has the power to shift my emotions, motivate me, and help me feel connected to the people I care about most.
There is not one specific song or artist that represents this memory. Instead, it is the tradition of music being present in everyday life that matters most. An artist my mom would play a lot though is VIcente Fernandez,so I would say he had a pretty good role throughout my childhood.  Music symbolizes family, comfort, and togetherness. It reminds me of the small moments that became meaningful over time and how traditions can be passed down through simple things like songs played on a Saturday morning.
