Ms. Agnieszka is from Poland. The object she chose is a cup. It is pottery made from clay stamped by hand. Used every day with blue ink. Boleslawiec pottery is a very old manufacturer dating back to Middle Ages. She really liked it. Then she met her now husband and they both went back to Poland to apply to America because there were better opportunities.This cup is important to Ms. Agnieszka because it was with her when she traveled and with her when she was lonely. Also it was related to her culture and family. What the cup tells us about the experience with immigrants is it helped her with missing family in her life. It is important to share these stories because it shows their struggles, and why they are so happy to be in America.
