This item is called a Mortar and Pestle This item belonged to my late parental grandfather. This item is important because it was given to my dad from his dad, my grandpa. In Uganda where my parents were born and raised they would use this item for foods to be ground. It can be used to grind nuts, spices and many other foods. It reminds us of our grandpa. It’s the only item my dad has that belonged to his dad and me and my family are able to connect with my late grandfather. My dad brings him a lot of memories. In conclusion I think it's such a pretty color and love the little detail that is on it. We never really use it anymore and just keep it as a souvenir.
