Moroccan Teapot

My friend's dad immigrated from Moroccan in 1977 and brought this teapot with him. He uses this teapot only for occasions because it is valuable and reminds him of his culture and his family back in Morocco. The first time I saw this teapot was at his grandchild's birthday party. He prepared Moroccan tea and started to give the gusts to try it. He approached me, offered me tea, and spoke about this teapot. He told me that he immigrated from Morocco with his brother when he was 18. He told me that he struggled a lot integrating into the U.S. society. The first job he had was washing dishes at a restaurant. He used to work for 10 hours a day washing dishes because that was the only job he could do because of his weak English. He said he never regretted the idea of coming to the U.S., even though he struggled a lot to get an education and adapt to the new environment. He said that seeing this teapot was a relief for him as he can remember his family and culture back home. It represents his determination in his immigration journey and how he overcame all the challenges he endured.
