Mini Pot
This object is my family’s pot we use to cook. It’s used almost every night at dinner, as it’s small and easy to use, and we use it to make our favorite foods, just like arroz con gandules. I first learned about this object on Christmas 2025, my mom bought it as a replacement of an older pot we had as a gift for my dad, who originally brought it from Puerto Rico all the way to Chicago. Almost everyone in my family uses this to make smaller portions of the foods we love that we might not want to share, even me. This object can teach people that my family has a lot of foods that we make and share with each other, and that I’m open to trying new things from different backgrounds. This object can teach others that the American experience isn’t just one thing, and that a lot of people contribute to it, by bringing recipes, traditions, and many other things that can be used for food, on their journeys. This object can also teach people to appreciate all of the traditions that people bring to different countries, cities, small towns, and more.
