Mexican shirt and jewelry
These are my most precious possessions. They are traditional Mexican clothes and jewelry that my family and I brought from Guadalajara before we came to the United States. We wear these in special occasions and holidays like The Independence Day, The Day of the Dead, The Revolution, etc. These necklaces and bracelets are handmade by native people called huicholes. I used to live next to their community and my family and I were very close friends of them. It's very important to me because it reminds me where my roots are, my beautiful country, reminds me about my family and the beautiful moments I had with them. They remind me how proud I am to be a Mexican woman.
