Matzo Ball Soup
Passover reminds me of it. The amazing taste that fills my mouth. Family together. Enjoying our favorite meal together to celebrate the holiday. I chose matzo ball soup as my object because it is important to me because it is a very delicious meal that is significant to my culture and can be related all the way back to the bible times. It is part of my family’s tradition to eat every year when we are celebrating Passover. The matzo that goes into making the soup has a very old story that goes back to the bible. After 1888, matzo was produced in great proportions by specific companies, and since has been transformed to taste very good in the broth that makes up matzo ball soup. My parents and grandparents make matzo ball soup every year for my family to enjoy. During Passover my entire family shares and enjoys matzo ball soup, although we still have it at other occasions. This object is important to me because it brings my family together as a homemade food that everyone can enjoy together. Matzo represents the unleavened bread the Jews ate while fleeing Egypt. Whenever Passover time is arriving, I get excited because I know that we will be having matzo ball soup. The Passover meal, known as a Seder, is all about remembering Jewish history. Much of the food is deeply symbolic to the Jewish religion, especially matzo ball soup.
