A personal thing, or comfort food I should say that would bring back some memories, being Mapo Tofu. It's a Chinese dish from the Sichuan province, consisting of tofu set in a spicy sauce, typically a thin, oily, and bright red suspension, based on douban along with minced meat, traditionally beef. Variations of this dish exist around the world and it could have ingredients like water chestnuts, onions, other vegetables, or wood ear fungus added to it to adapt to local tastes. It's oily, spicy, and tasty, as any good comfort food should be and it also brings some good memories back whenever I eat it and think about eating it. I really enjoy eating it because of my liking to foods that are very spicy which this dish is, and the ingredients it’s made up of are also some of my favorites. Whenever I eat it, and if I think to myself about it, I would remember about the time during summer when I went to china about 2-3 years ago. When I went to china at the time, I would just to around playing with my friends and cousins, go swimming every 1-2 days(I also learned how to swim then), and I could go around the city to eat all kinds of different foods like sushi, tako yaki, Steak(I ate my first steak there), and Chinese savior crepes.
