Mahesh
My name is Shama. I am from Egypt I came to U S in 2011 My object is Mahesh, an Egyptian food. Mahesh consists of cabbage, onions, tomato sauce, parsley, dill, coriander, salt, black pepper and cumin. We eat this dish for lunch and dinner. I think about my mother when we were young and she went outside in bad weather and brought the vegetables back to cook this dish. Me and my sister helped her make Mahesh. I learnt about it when I was 12 years old. It came from previous generations of Egyptians. This memory makes me very happy. I want to make it for my children and hope they will remember me When they grow up and have their own houses.
