My great-grandma would make a dessert called Ma’amoul. She immigrated from Palestine in the late 1970’s. The recipe from Palestine is used for holidays/celebrations such as birthdays, family events, and a Muslim holiday called Eid. My great-grandma passed down the recipe to her daughter (my grandma), and my grandma passed down the recipe to her two daughters (my aunt and my mom). And now they are making Ma’amoul on special events just like my great-grandma!
