This is a picture of a Polish dancing dress which belongs to my mother.  These costumes originated from Poland.  These dresses are made out-of…

  • White fabric for the shirt
  • Colorful fabric for the dress
  • Beads lot of beads
  • Sometimes sequences

Fun Fact: It took my grandma months to make these dresses. This dress is important to me because my grandmother made everything herself, including all of the beads.  Also, my mom danced in these kinds of costumes all over Michigan, and that my grandma made these costumes because my mom danced and now I dance and my brother and sister are taking dance classes too!  I chose this object because it shows my dance history, and how dance is in my blood!

Fun Fact: All generations can do Polish dancing it’s just more common in teens and children!
Now finally my questions are…

  • Was Polish dancing the first type of dance introduced to Poland?
  • Who came-up with Polish dancing

Place(s): Poland
Year: 1900
