My object, a watch from my father, tells the story of my father in NYC. My dad came to NYC from Ecuador with my two uncles and lived here in Washington Heights. He bought it at a jeweler, it’s a gold watch. He used to wear it all the time and now he just keeps it in a wooden box. This object shows the history of my father's history in NYC.
