One video I watched was by the author Dipika Mukherjee, and her object was a charm bracelet that her parents gave her.

My object is a sparkly belt that I got when I first started competing with my horse. I have never been a superstitious person. That is until I wore this belt for the first time. I got it after I had already done a couple of competitions, all of which did not go as planned. The first time I wore it at a competition I did really well and I had not changed anything from the competition before, except for that sparkly belt. Therefore, in my nine year old eyes, that belt was the most amazing thing on this planet. I wore it to all my other competitions and kept winning and doing well. I didn't know it at the time but now that I'm older I realize it wasn't the actual belt that made me do so well, it was the confidence it gave me. Even though I now know it was the confidence and not the actual belt I still wear it to every competition I go to to this day, and continue excelling in this sport because of it and the confidence it gives e in the arena.
