This story is about my grandma. she is from Peru, and she emigrated from Peru to the United States to have better opportunities. she brought some stuff with her. Then my mom came to live with my Grandma. When I was born, my grandmother was so happy and she prayed for me and she promised God she will take care of me. 

When I was seven, she gave me a picture of Jesus on the cross, but she corrected me a said he was the Lord of miracles.  She said the image is going to remind me of her and God. She told me, "when you look at the picture you feel safe and protected when your having a rough time you can look at the picture and be reminded that God and Jesus are looking after you." It is special to her because when she asked him for miracles, it happened. When an earthquake happened in her country on November 13, 1655, the painting of him was the last thing standing. she believes that he gives miracles.

My grandma is important to me and my religion too. When she is far away, she will be near me with the photo.
