My grandfather used to wear a golden anchor around his neck. Growing up on the water this was a symbol of happiness. He never took if off. It was his symbol of strength. It was given to him when he was a little boy. The waves made him happy day in and day out. When he passed, this necklace was passed down to my older sister, which she now holds close to her heart.
