Légume

This dish you see here is called Légume. It’s a special Haitian dish. It is made with cabbage, eggplant, onions, shallots, pepper, spinach, watercress, carrots, and Haitian styled season beef. It is typically eaten with rice. I personally mix the légume and rice together most people don’t do that but I like it. My grandma makes this the most in the family. She told me that she grew up eating this when she lived in Haiti. Also my mom, dad , aunts, and uncle they all are from Haiti. They were born there, and all had Légume almost all the time there. My grandma prepares this dish on special occasions like thanksgiving, Christmas dinners, and even birthday dinners. My whole family really loves Légume.
