One of the most important food items to both me and my family is lasagna. We are a very Italian family on both sides, so dishes like these are very close to home for us. Our family’s special Lasagna recipe began with one of my Great-Grandma’s, who everyone called Grandma B. I only met her once, and I was too young to remember it, but after she passed, it was a very difficult time for my grandparents and mother. I am constantly reminded of how funny and caring of a person she was, and how she created this recipe on her own. We eat it every holiday, and it is our special way of keeping her with us at each and every meal. This is why it means so much.
