I moved to the United States from Toronto, Canada in 2001. I migrated to New York because my husband got a job at SUNY Oneonta. Oneonta is a very different space from Toronto which is urban, multi-cultural and even multilingual. I have discovered diversity in Oneonta though; I just had to look at and listen to my new community in more depth to find it.
